Position: Residence Program Assistant

Job Description / Duties
Reporting to the Residence Program Coordinator (RPC), with guidance from Residence Area Coordinators and the Associate Director, Residence Life, the Residence Programming Assistant’s (RPA’s) will develop and facilitate after-hours and weekend programming initiatives in residence. The RPA will work with Residence Area Coordinators, Residence Life Managers, and student staff to complete regular needs assessments of building areas and develop initiatives to address trends. Work hours and days will change based on building and campus needs, but generally will range from Wednesday-Saturday between 1pm-12am.

Qualifications / Required Skills
Requirements for this live-out, part-time position include: a two (2) year Community College Diploma (Undergraduate degree preferred) along with some related experience. A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered. Additional requirements include: an understanding of life within a post-secondary institutions; strong adaptability and prioritization skills; well-developed communication and collaboration skills; experience with programming or event management considered an asset. Ideal candidates will have proficiency in utilizing student development and success research to inform their practice.
