We are proud to announce that the 2027 New Professionals Training Institute (NPTI) will be held at Carleton University!

Carleton University is located in the heart of Ottawa. Known for its vibrant campus community and commitment to innovation. Carleton provides students and professionals alike with an environment that fosters learning, collaboration, and growth. Its central location offers access to Ottawa’s rich cultural, historical, and professional resources, setting up a foundation for our emerging leaders and NPTI.

With a focus on leadership development, community building, and personal growth, we aim to provide a strong foundation for emerging leaders in the field. As a host institution for the New Professionals Training Institute, our team brings both the expertise of a dedicated professional team and the welcoming spirit of a dynamic campus community — ensuring delegates will learn, connect, and thrive during their time in Ottawa. 

Hosting the institute provides delegates with a unique opportunity to explore a nation’s capital and learn in a setting rich with history and culture. Ottawa is a great place for the institute as it is home to Parliament Hill, national museums, and the annual tulip festival.

The theme for the conference is Emerging Leaders.  We intend to set the foundation for new staff entering our field for them to grow and impact all of our future communities.
