Conferences

The Conferences and Training Institutes that are provided by OACUHO provide opportunities for members to connect, learn and engage with one another. There are multiple offerings are hosted annually at institutions across Ontario. Below are some of the opportunities provided by the association:

  • OACUHO Spring Conference: The OACUHO Spring Conference is an opportunity for professionals to come together to share and learn best practices, connect with colleagues, and learn from experts in the field of student housing. The conference has a different host institution each year, and the conference hosts ensure that there are many learning experiences to fit the needs of attendees.
  • Residence Life Conference: The OACUHO Residence Life Conference (RLC) is a three day conference for student staff across Ontario to come together to share ideas, develop presentation skills, make connections and learn more about the field of residence life.
  • Fall Conference: The OACUHO Fall Conference is one day learning opportunity for members to engage in learning and re-connect with colleagues to share best practices and trends in student housing.
  • New Professional Training Institute: The OACUHO New Professional Training Institute (NPTI) is a bi-annual four day experience for new professionals in the field of student housing to engage in an intentionally designed learning experience where they have the opportunity to connect with one another, build skills alongside a cohort of new professionals, learn from senior student affairs professionals and gain insight on the foundational knowledge of working in student housing.
