Qualifications and Fees
There are three different categories of OACUHO membership:
Associate Institutional Membership shall be open to post-secondary education institutions outside of Ontario and to employees of companies and corporations engaged in activities directly related to the purpose of the Association. Each Associate Membership includes one (1) individual Associate Institutional Membership (Contact Member). Associate members receive all the privileges of membership except the right to vote or the right to stand for elected position within the Association. Associate members may host any meetings of conferences within Ontario.
Associate Members pay a flat fee of: $426.17
Institutional Membership shall be open to post-secondary education institutions in Ontario engaged in the field of student housing. Each Institutional Membership includes one (1) individual Institutional Membership (Contact Member). An Institutional Membership is intended for any autonomous campus or college where employees are paid directly by the institution. Each individual institutional member in good standing shall have one vote during any vote by the membership of the Association.
Institutional membership is for Ontario residents only. New sign-ups will be required to fill out an application form before they will be able to register as an Institutional Member.
Fees for Institutional Membership vary based on institution capacity (# beds):
- 1-500 beds: $426.17
- 501-750 beds: $568.22
- 751-1000 beds: $781.31
- 1001-1500 beds: $994.38
- 1501-2000 beds: $1,278.49
- 2001-3000 beds: $1,562.60
- 3001-4000 beds: $1,846.72
- 4001-6000 beds: $2,272.87
- 6001-10000 beds: $2,841.09
Student membership shall be open to any graduate student who is currently pursuing a degree or diploma at an accredited academic institution, whose studies will lead to a career in Student Housing but are not currently eligible for memberships under section 3.14 or 3.15. Student members will receive all the privileges of membership except the right to vote, the right to host any meetings or conferences, or the right to stand for elected position within the Association.
Student Membership Fee: FREE
**Student members will have to "Renew" each year but it will be FREE.
