Job Description / Duties

Reporting to the Administrator, Residence Operations, the Residence Operations Assistant (ROA) will be responsible for providing administrative support to the department of Student Housing & Residence Life. The Residence Operations Assistant will directly support the administrative team with application processes, data collection, review and analysis, and recruitment activities. The Residence Operations Assistant will assist management in efforts to maximize occupancy, coordinate incoming and outgoing students, inform decision-making, and accurately plan for upcoming cycles.

The Residence Operations Assistant will provide excellent customer service to current and prospective residence students, and assist in resolving inquiries and concerns as they arise.

This position must work evenings and weekends to support students living in a 24/7 residence environment.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Completion of a 3 year College Diploma in a related discipline (such as business administration, education, sociology or psychology) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. University degree is preferred.
Must have experience working in a residence environment
Minimum three (3) years of related customer service experience in a post-secondary institution, including experience in a student leadership role.

Salary: USW Pay Band 07
