Additional Information
Hello Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that the University of British Columbia | Vancouver is recruiting for a full-time, live-in Residence Life Manager (RLM) position. RLMs play a critical role in facilitating a residence experience that fosters academic, interpersonal and intrapersonal success, and enhances the university experience.
Through the University’s significant investment in student housing, UBC’s program has grown to 13 residences that are home to over 12 000 students from over 140 countries. That growth will continue with the construction of Pacific Residence just underway and the anticipated construction of phase two of Brock Commons.
Under the supervision of an Associate Director, Residence Life, RLMs are leaders in fostering an environment that supports healthy communities, self-discovery, and lifelong learning in their assigned residence areas. This includes accountability for the recruitment, training, supervision, performance management and development of a team of student staff members in a community of 1100 to 2200 students. RLMs are essential in terms of managing special projects and day-to-day operations in their assigned areas, in particular by collaborating with colleagues throughout Student Housing and Hospitality Services, as well as elsewhere on campus. RLMs also work directly with escalated or especially sensitive student concerns.
To learn more about this opportunity and to submit an application, please visit Careers at UBC and search job code 35563. This posting closes on October 30th at 11:59 pm.
