Job Description / Duties
Reporting to the Manager of Residence and Conference Services, the Residence Life Coordinator will promote and facilitate student success by ensuring emotional, physical, mental and social well-being of Residence students through organized social and educational programming as well as direct and indirect interaction. Specific responsibilities include daily supervision of Resident Assistants and Residence Council, planning and executing Move-In Day, Residence Orientation and other related
events in collaboration with Residence Operations and Administration. Additionally, the incumbent will conduct Residence Life staff training, set and monitor budgets for Residence Council, review and assess incident reports as well as represent Residence on various University committees.
Qualifications / Required Skills
The ideal candidate will have a university degree and experience living in a college or university residence. Specific skills include the ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, multitask as well as work under pressure and meet deadlines as required. The incumbent will also possess
excellent interpersonal and leadership skills along with the ability to handle all matters in a confidential manner. Proficiency in all multimedia and social media is an asset.
