Job Description / Duties
Reporting to the Residence Managers. The Coordinator, Residence and Student Development will be part of a team to develop a supportive, engaging, and inviting residence community. The incumbent will support the housing program, including working with the Residence Managers to assist with individual student accountability and community well-being.
Qualifications / Required Skills
•Completion of post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate from an accredited post-secondary institute; commensurate experience will also be considered.
•Minimum one (1) year experience working in a post-secondary residence program;
•Knowledge of post-secondary student transition, community building strategies, student management, etc. in a residence life/housing program;
•Knowledge and understanding along with the ability to interpret the student life cycle;
•Excellent organizational, time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines;
•Exceptional oral and written communication skills, customer service oriented, excellent interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
