OACUHO 2019 Residence Life Conference

This years Residence Life Conference will be hosted January 11th-13th, 2019 at the Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre.

Connecting the Dots is about learning to bring ideas, skills, experiences and your interests together to reveal the outline of who you are as a person and a leader.  We encourage you to use the conference to discover which dots you want to connect and how you will go about making those connections. 

The "dots" can have different meanings including things like who you are, your teammates, skills, passion, community, purpose and it how you make connections between those things that help shape who you become as a leader.  They also represent your efforts to develop diverse and inclusive communities, support and advise students, role model responsible behaviour, and practicing self-care.

When children play Connecting the Dots a line is drawn and the outline of an object is revealed.  In residence life, and through this conference, we hope that you are able to reveal new opportunities and learn new skills by Connecting the Dots that are presented to you through learning experiences and meeting new people.

We encourage you to use the skills and relationships you develop at this conference, and at your own institution, to connect the dots of opportunity that you may not have known even existed.

To register for the conference, please fill out the form below. 


Deadline to register is January 4 2019. 

Due to the off-site venue, we are limited by the number of delegates that can be accommodated on site.  

Each institution, regardless of size, will be permitted to register up to 5 individuals from their institution (number includes professional staff).  If you would like a larger delegation, please indicate the number of additional delegates you would like to register.  Any remaining vacancies will be assigned based on the operational bed size of the institution (ex. the schools with the largest number of beds will be permitted to bring more before smaller institutions).

Professional leads are able to register spaces as Delegate 1, Delegate 2 and so on and confirm dietary requirements and specific accommodations closer to the conference date.

Registration will be processed on a first come, first served basis.



If you are interested in registering more than the allocated 5 individuals from your institution, please contact Carol at info@oacuho.com to be placed on a waiting list.



Cancellations received by 5pm on Friday January 4 2019 for are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations received after that date are not eligible for a refund.

Substitutions are accepted by 5pm on Wednesday January 9 2019.
